KATARINA PAVLOVIC Born 1978 in Cuprija, Serbia. Katarina Pavlovic studied at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (Serbia) and undertook post-graduate studies with prof. E. Kravceva at the Academy of Music Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia). She has taken part in the masterclasses of prof. David Takeno, prof.Darko Kodzas and prof.Vesna Stankovic. 'Strings' Scholarship Deadline is Drawing Near
The deadline for the Edith Eisler String Scholarship Award, an annual $3,000 award for a single qualified string student with financial need, is drawing near.
Candidates have until May 4 to submit their applications with paperwork.

Blog Reports from the Piatigorsky Int'l Cello Festival
Strings contributor and cellist Laurence Vittes is reporting from the 1st annual Piatigorsky International Cello Festival in Los Angeles.
The week-long festival is a collaboration between the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, the Colburn School of Music, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles Chamber Music Orchestra.
The festival is being directed by USC instructor Ralph Kirschbaum.
